OCRIMS is one of the more active chapters of the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS), a global nonprofit organization representing more than 3,500 industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable and government entities throughout the world. Founded in 1950, RIMS brings networking, professional development and education opportunities to its membership of more than 11,000 risk management professionals who are located in more than 60 countries. The Orange County Chapter of RIMS (OCRIMS) formed in 1976 and has evolved into a thriving professional society benefitting its members and the local community at large. OCRIMS has won numerous awards for excellence as recognized by RIMS, and our members have won individual awards such as the prestigious 'Heart of RIMS Award.'
